Problem: I recently reformatted my computer and reinstalled Virgin Media Security. However, I am unable to activate and get a Copy Protection Fault error message.
Cause: Reformatting the computer will change the identification that the Virgin Media Security activation servers use to remember you. Therefore, when you try to activate, it appears as though a different computer is trying to use an additional license. The Copy Protection Fault will appear when you try to use more licenses than your subscription allows .
Answer: Wait 6 hours then try to activate again. Once a Copy Protection error appears, you must wait 6 hours for the computer identification to clear. Once the time has elapsed, you will be able to activate on any computer.
