Question: What applications may cause conflicts with Virgin Media Security
Answer: Conflicting applications lead to general unpredictability. Most commonly the presence of these applications will have an impact on the installation or activation procedures. It is generally not recommended to run more than one Internet/security programs on the same computer at any given time, as this leads to resource conflicts between the programs. This may critically interfere with Virgin Media Security's activity, as you may have experienced.
Use Diagnostic Utility to remove possible source of conflicts.
- Shutdown Virgin Media Security by clicking File, then Exit.
- Click Start and select Programs.
- From the Programs menu, select Virgin Media Security, then click Diagnostic Utility.
- Click Conflict Detector.
- If a conflicting application is found, click Uninstall.
- Conflict Detector will launch the conflicting application Setup Wizard. The user can now uninstall the chosen software.

Note: Live Update and Live Reg must be removed only if Norton Security products such as Anti-Virus or System Works are installed. There is no conflict with other (non-security) Symantec products, such as Pcanywhere, Password Manager, Ghost, and Clean Sweep.
