Question: What are the Web Threat Protection strength levels?

 

Answer: You can choose of three level of protection against web threats:

 

  • High: Blocks web sites that have characteristics associated with online fraud. The High setting will also blocks web sites that pose even a slight risk of transmitting viruses and spyware. This setting blocks harmless sites that might have been hijacked in the past and unrated web sites that might pose a threat.
  • Normal: Blocks web sites that have characteristics associated with online fraud, or that show signs of transmitting viruses and spyware. This setting also blocks unrated sites that might pose a threat.
  • Low: Only blocks web sites that actively support online fraud and verified web sites that transmit viruses and spyware.

 

To change the strength level:

 

  1. Open Virgin Media Security.
  2. Click on Web Threat Protection.
  3. From the drop-down menu select from: High, Normal or Low.
